PSALM 77! =]
PSALM 77:1-13:PLEASE READ!!!
1 I cried out to God for help;
I cried out to God to hear me.
2 When I was in distress, I sought the Lord;
at night I stretched out untiring hands
and my soul refused to be comforted.
3 I remembered you, O God, and I groaned;
I mused, and my spirit grew faint.
Selah
4 You kept my eyes from closing;
I was too troubled to speak.
5 I thought about the former days,
the years of long ago;
6 I remembered my songs in the night.
My heart mused and my spirit inquired:
7 "Will the Lord reject forever?
Will he never show his favor again?
8 Has his unfailing love vanished forever?
Has his promise failed for all time?
9 Has God forgotten to be merciful?
Has he in anger withheld his compassion?"
Selah
10 Then I thought, "To this I will appeal:
the years of the right hand of the Most High."
11 I will remember the deeds of the LORD;
yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.
12 I will meditate on all your works
and consider all your mighty deeds.
13 Your ways, O God, are holy.
What god is so great as our God?
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
So that is like the most amazing thing like ever...haha. No, but seriously, if you are going through a trial or rough time, you should seriously like memorize those verses. They are the most important things ever! I love them so much.
"i cried out to God for help"- This helps me remember HE is my source of hope and comfort, HE is who I cry out to.
"when I was in distress, I sought the Lord"- sorta the same thing. But he says when in DISTRESS. I try to remember to go to God ESP when in distress!
I like this...
"you kept my eyes from closing; I was too troubled to speak"-He realizes GOD gave him that trial, something I don't always see.
Then for a few verses he talks about I guess doubting God, questioning. But then he remembers the deeds of the Lord, how it is good. He considers the mighty deeds of God and meditates on his works!
He goes on to PRAISE God, during his trial.
Asaph=MAN OF FAITH!
He totally was trusting God, [a][m][a][z][i][n][g]
So anyway, any thoughts? Leave them please! Thanks Sarah for the idea of this Psalm, greatly appreciated!

Fed Up and things learned
hmm. i am FED up with drama. Like, ok, just answer this ONE question with a good answer and I'll be content. WHAT - IS - THE - POINT!? I just dont get it stil. Like, WHY is what I'd like to know! huh, its a lot. But I just learned two cool cool things. You wanna knwo what they are? Ok..(from church-it was about trials)
1)I am not to IGNORE the pain and suffering of trials. I am to look at the good things, but not IGNORE or block out the bad things. So now I can look @ the bad things not as 'bad' but as GOOD! Like I am now starting to see the pain AS beauty! Awesomeness God!
2) I am to look @ the trial through eyes of faith. Pst Don kept saying "eyes of faith" "eyes of faith"... And that stuck. i was looking at things through my own eyes, no wonder I was having to FORCE myself to see good things ect.
3) Also to look @ the big picture, not just the small things thru my narrow eyes.
Anyway, its def cool. If you wanna pray for me, please pray that I'd be able to see things through eyes of faith. Thanks SO much! ily all!

Um, WOW! *eyes get wide*
blogers/readers,
God is amazing. I pretty much just made the biggest decision of my life. Ok, so it wasn't nearly, but it had to do with a friend and her health, so it was way up there. God, He works in me sooo much everyday. I love it. He's been so good to me. He put me in a trial with this friend of mine. I had to know whether to make 1 decision or the other. I prayed about it and God gave me an answer. Well, I didnt want to do what He said. So I fought Him. I wasn't going to do it. But I explained the situation to someone else and they showed me to do what God has told me ect. Well someone else came along and was like "NO, DONT DO IT!" So now what? Am I right or wrong? Well, I stuck with what God said, and of course it was for the better. I'm so thankful to God. He's amazing. Thats ALL I can say. Off to bmont for bible study.
God,
YOU ARE AMAZING. End of discussion.

Stuff...
Readers,
hmm...YA=Amazing. i learned so much! God was def there with me. I'm not going into detail, it's personal. If you'd like to know though, just ask me and i will tell you!
THe past few days have been very stressful and I've been sleeping nonstop. It's not a good thing.
So how do you all feel about black nails? I mean, I have my nails painted black, and you know what, I LIKE IT! I was about to take it off before YA, but only b/c I thought "ppl @ church wont like this." But that's just fear of man. And you know what, about 4 ppl DONT like it and are judging me because of it. But that just shows a lot about their character! I like it, so I'm keeping it on. I'm going to wear it to church on Sunday. I'm not sure what people will say. I hope they just know that I like it, and they have to deal if they dont like it!!!! I think its cute! And its not like I'm going emo, goth or anything. AND, my motives aren't wrong for doing this. ITS A COLOR!!! I did it b/c I LIKE IT!!! Anyway, this is sorta dumb, but w/e. I feel like other ppl just wouldn't be allowed (my parents could care less...) to wear it, so are skeptical. Oh well. anyway, gtg.

Devotion
Am I devoted? The definition of devoted (devotion/devote)
1. deep love and commitment
2. great dedication and loyalty
3. strong enthusiasm and admiration for somebody or something
4. fervent religious or spiritual feeling (formal)
5. the act of devoting something or being devoted to a particular purpose
So if THAT is what devotion is, what am I devoted to? Is it friends? A book? Dancing? WHAT am I devoted to? Devotion is a deep thing. I don't think devotion is just a "oh yea, I like..." It's a personal thing.
What SHOULD I be devoted to? God. I KNOW that. Do I have a deep love? Am I committed to Him? AM I DEVOTED to Him? Those are questions to ponder. Am I putting things above God? I know that's wrong. Do I love God more then ANYTHING else? Is spending time with Him the most important thing? When I go to friends houses, do I still have my quiet times/devotions? If I find I'm not devoted to God, what AM I devoted to? What's more important then my Lord? Reader, what is your most important thing? What are YOU devoted to?
Those are just questions to ponder.
Dear Lord,
You are the most important thing. Show me if I'm not making You the most important thing in my life. Help me correct it if You're not. YOU are the bestest thing ever. Nothing can even COMPARE to You!
In Jesus' name,
-Amen

someone in my life...
God is SOO good to me. He def answers prayers. Read on...
Ok, so I'd been praying that God would put someone in my life that I could like, idk exactly. I guess help out, with His love and words of course. I wanted Him to use ME in someone else's life, like others had done for me. Ok, so I was talking to someone, and I didn't really think anything of it. But now, after giving htem advice, seeing God work soooo much in them, see God growing them up in Him and maturing them far beyond their years.
God, thank you for putting them in my life. Thank you for using me. Thank you for letting THEM teach ME also. I pray you protect them and show them your love!
In Jesus' name,
-Amen
God's just amazing. He's using things I'VE learned from trials, to help this other younger girl. It's so cool. i'm not only helping her and teaching her (only because of God's help and strength of course), but it's helping me.I'm seeing how much God's taught me. How TRULY thankful I am for trials. I just found out not only was I praying for someone, THEY were praying for someone to HELP them. Gosh, the Lord NEVER ceases to amaze me! God is so great!
Anyway, I'll post later! (9 DAYS LEFT!)

Holding On/Letting Go
ok, so God wants me to give everything up. Can I do that? I've been holding on to these things for years. I wrote everything down, and I know he now wants me to rip that paper up and throw it away. Seriously, I can't do that. Idk why. But I continue holding on. He wants me to come out of the hole and let Him help me, let Himself be the ladder to get out. But why won't I climb out? I'm not sure. Am I scared? Maybe I'm just comfortable where I am now? I'm not sure. But I need to figure this out. I need to give it all up to Him. I have to trust that He'll take care of me. I need to let things go and let the memories fade. It'll be a process before the memory is gone, but I KNOW God wants me to go take the paper I wrote up and tear it into shreds and let Him take those things away. But instead I cry, pleading with Him to let me keep them. But that's not what's best and not what will work. I will just get myself deeper in this hole of mine...
Lord,
PLEASE help me to let go. Please help me to rip that paper. But dont let it only be a physical thing, but REALLY letting go. REALLY giving it up to you!!!!
In Jesus name
-Amen!
Thats it till next time...(10 days)

Gosh. I did it again
I know i've already posted today, but I wanna post again. So, like everything's crazy now. I went from letting God have control of everything, just a few hours ago, to taking it into my own hands. I guess God taught me a lesson though. I made a mistake. I took the situation into my own hands and did something I'm guessing God didn't want to happen.
Why I did that, Idk. I guess it has to do with lack of trust. Maybe I wasn't trusting God. That's always been a weak point. But I'm working on it. I'm doing better, with the Lord's help of course.
But, after being all upset, I went to God about it and I know now that He's forgiven me. But He wants me to try to listen next time :). So now I've put things BACK in his hands and we are all set. I'm really thankful for God's forgiveness. It's incredible. Ah, God's so good to me.
Another thing God showed me today...I don't have to know everything. Like, I've known that, but more as like...just like a fact. But now, i really really really know that. It's really cool. like, just to know I dont have to know things about what's going to happen or what God's gonna do. My dearest readers, I hope you can also learn to have faith and trust God without knowing what's going to happen. Trust His sovereign plan.
God,
Thanks for showing me so much. Thanks for taking burdens. YOU ARE EVERYTHING I NEED!!!! That's all I can say. I'm speechless. I love you GOD!!!! I wish I could say more!!!
In Jesus' name
-Amen!
Last thing. I cannot wait till Youth Advance. It'll be amazing, I know it. I've prayed SO much about this weekend, I just can't wait. I'm so excited to see what God will do, especially in certain people that are coming. Wow, it'll be amazing. I def will post about that when i get back! (11 days left)

So light
God's so good to me. He's been like so faithful through everything lately. There's been so much going on, I know I can't handle it. But I can have peace because I know I dont have to handle it. It's so amazing! I dont have to pity party saying "oh, my life is awful. How could God do this?" I can be confident that I know God's working through this. i know that I will have trials. And you know, I dont have to be suprised by that because God told me in His Word that I'd have this anyway.
But it's just awing me that God's in control of this situation and I don't have to be. All I have to do is let Him work through me. That's it! And I'm not supposed to be in control of this situation or trying to fix it. I have to depend on my Savior to do what He wants with everyone involved.
The reason I titled this topic "So light" is because that's how I feel. Now that I have put my burdens on Christ and I'm trusting Him and His father like I am instructed, I feel light. Like there are no worries. It's incredible.
Dear God,
Thank you for taking my burden and making me feel so light.
In Jesus' name,
